The Family Food Company was established in Honolulu by Mr. Peter Chang and his family in 1987. Through hard work and carefully chosen
partnerships, Family Food has become the largest Oriental foods wholesalers in Hawaii.
Family Food's origins lie in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a warehouse located in the Dole Cannery complex. The amount of warehouse space has
since tripled to accommodate the growing demands of its distribution network. Now they are located in the beautiful city of Kapolei,
with further expansion in the works. Its first clients were supermarket chains like Daiei, Safeway Stores, and Times Supermarkets.
With the shift of consumer buying habits, Family Food also created partnerships with club stores like Costco and Sam's Club, and with
discount superstores like Kmart and Wal-Mart.
Despite its humble beginnings, there has been an enormous amount of growth for Family Food in recent years. And although its success
in the past several years has been inspiring, the possibilities for the future hold even more promise.
